I, too, am new to this list. I am hopeful of getting help with my dutch ancesters. My Dutch surnames are Stoothoff, Garrabrant, and Terwilliger; with possible connections to the Vanderbilts. I am trying to get more information on a John Stoothoff born about 1783 to Peter Stoothoff and Leah/Leathe/Laco Vanderbilt. Does anyone have any clues on him??? TIA, Pam
