    2. Charlotte, A little more information would be helpful. What is the time period, what are their first names, what were the towns/cities they lived in these states? What is the earliest Dyckman you have located so far? I believe the earliest Dyckman in the New World was Cornelius Dyckman b. ca. 1647. He and his family lived for several years in Schenectady and after the 1790 massacre they relocated temporarily at Bergen, NJ, where their son Nicholas was born in 1692. A couple of years later Cornelius Dyckman bought a farm in the Bloomingdale section of Manhattan. This Cornelis and his wife, Jannetie Dircks, had at least 5 sons. Perhaps the ancestors you are searching come down the line from this family. Tell us more.
