    1. [NYDUTCH] Garret Arnold of Otswego County, New York
    2. The Poupel/Morddel family
    3. Hello, I am seeking the ancestors of Garrett Arnold of Milford, Otsego, New York. Wife: Mary Children: Henry (b.1839), Huntice (b.1832), Caherine (b.1836), Elizabeth (b.1837), Bloomer Garrett, my ancestor, (b. 1842), and Sooina (b.1844) Garrett, Mary, and one child appear in the 1830 census for Milford; the parents and four children appear in the 1840 census for Franklin, Delaware County, New York. They then uprooted and went to Illinois, and appear in the 1850 census for Northville, La Salle County, Illinois, with all of the children listed above. Then disaster seems to have struck. Garrett died in 1854, and is buried in Pratt's Oaklawn Cemetery in De Kalb County and the family seems then to have disintegrated. By the 1860 census only Henry, working as a day labourer with a family in Lee, and Bloomer, working as a farm hand for the Dixon family in Somonauk, can be found. Mary and the girls have disappeared. Then, in the 1880 census, Mary shows up living with the remarried wife of her deceased son, Bloomer. What is Mary's maiden name? Who are Garrett's and Mary's ancestors? Is he related to Rodney Arnold? And what happened to the girls? Any help much appreciated. Thank you . A. --------------------------------- Get your own web address for just $1.99/1st yr. We'll help. 3. My Daniel Harrison Hollenbeck, b. 1/1855 around Herkimer and m. to Ella E. Eckert, b. 10/1859 Poughkeepsie would appear to be the Daniel b. 1/25/1855 of Jacob Hollenbeck and Betsey Countryman in Stark, Herkimer Co., NY. I need other questions answered to believe. I do know Countryman was the mother. BUT I had been told by the wife of Frederick, who was born in Utica by Ella & Daniel that Daniel had two brothers - Byron who ended out on Cape Cod in Massachusetts and Samuel who died in the war. I found a Byron, b. about 1852 who was on the 1880 Census in German Flats NY with wife Estella and dau. Lena. I could not find any further data, even in Massachusetts. Maybe if I could find more info on Byron it would solve it because Samuel could be Solomon and that would solve the Samuel problem. It could be that Byron died early which is hampering my search. And it could be that Lester in MA was his child. I did know Spray (hollenbeck) was of his line, m. Richardson from Cape Cod (to Maine). Barb in VT, from MA, presently in RV in Florida
