Researching especially the Gibson line. William (b.1773)and Isabella came from County Down, N. Ireland & had eight sons. They settled initially in the Kortright area. Some had farms in Meridale area. My grandfather, John W., who married Katherine Sutherland, was the son of John, who married Sarah Young Beken of Kent, England. Have had little success in finding descendants of the other seven boys.
