Have you any interest in the obituaries for Howard L. Wood or Addie A. Wood? Howard and Addie were the adopted children of Frances E. Wood of Walton. Frances was probably the son of Jessie L. Wood (c. 1808-1880+) and Millicent Wood (c. 1810-1870+). Frances was born about 1836, married "Mary L.," and had one son named Frances I. Wood, born about 1861. Frances and Mary "adopted" Howard, who was born about 1869, and Addie, who was born about 1871. Howard and Addie first appear with the family on the 1880 census. Howard became a doctor who worked in Connecticut as an adult. His obit is dated "1908" in pencil.  Addie's obit is not dated; she outlived Howard by a year or so.  There is strong indication that they both committed suicide by poisoning. Neither married or had children. They are buried in the Wood plot in Walton Cemetery. It's possible that Howard and Addie are biologically nephew and niece to Frances and Mary.
