    3. I'm researching a Watson family from Walton although they also lived in Sullivan Co. Bert (Delbert/Albert) Watson was b. 9 December 1891 in Walton. According to his obit, his father was James Watson & Ida Slater. I'd like more on this family if anyone knows them Obit for Albert “Bert” Watson ... “Albert “Bert” Watson, 81, of 17 1/2 King St., Norwich, died Wednesday (June 27, 1973) at the Chenango Memorial Hospital. He was born December 9, 1891 in Walton, son of James and Ida Slater Watson. On August 31 1919 in Earlville he married Ruth Giles who survives. In the earlier years of his life he had worked for the Delaware and Lackawanna Railroad. He had engaged in farming in the e South Plymouth, Holmesville and Town of Norwich areas and had also worked in the shipping department of the Norwich Wire Works later in his life. He retired in 1958. Mr. Watson was a member of the Broad Street United Methodist Church of Norwich. Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Brian (Shirley) Smith of Norwich four grandchildren, Sheryl, Susan, David and Douglas Smith, all of Norwich and several cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Saturday and the Robert J. Fahy Funeral Home, Norwich. The Rev. Edgar Brill, pastor of the Broad St. United Methodist church, will officiate. Burial will follow in the North Norwich Cemetery. Sally Chirlin
