    3. In later years these two ladies lived on Main St in Downsville. Maud/Maude was my Grandmother's niece. My Grandmother's sister, Elizabeth Rockefeller married Jacob Mc/MacDonald. From what I find in the census (tn Colchester), Laura is listed as Jake's niece. Am in the process of putting this info in my Brothers Keeper program - just nicely started I didn't know it at the time, but I am related to half the kids I went to school with at Downsville NY Harriett ----- Original Message ----- From: Doris Simpson To: nydelawa@rootsweb.com Sent: Sunday, October 15, 2006 8:53 PM Subject: Re: [NYDELAWA] McDonald, Rose, Thompson, Forman, Flint, Houghtaling,Clark, Gay I used to know a Laura McDonald & Maude Mc Donald , they lived in Telford Hollow Downsville, Del. I'm also very interested in the ships that brought our ancestors to Delaware County - first through NY, then up the Hudson on a sloop to the Catskill area, and then to Delaware County. The early families would be McDonald, Rose, Thompson, Forman, Flint, Houghtaling, Clark, and Gay. Unrelated families with parallel migration patterns who also married into these families would be Cummings, Grants, Humes, Kedzie's. Have quite a bit on some of the families, but I'm trying to find details to pull it together. Some families have me stumped. Would like to contact others researching these families. My computer crashed, so I lost many old contacts and some information. Would love to hear more about Maude & Laura, I am still trying to find he connection. I think the Terrys , Signors & Mc Donalds had a connection. Can you help me? 3. Yes, you're right - Laura did marry a Terry. Which one - I've no idea. Seems I remember that her son died as a result of drowning - (this is from the recesses) in a pond - broke thru the ice or something of that sort. It more than likely would have been published in the Walton Reporter as I think the Downsville (Progress ?) would have been gone by that time. Sorry I can't be of more help at the moment.
