Still trying to find the parents of Phillip Spencer, b. 12 Aug. 1766; d. 21 June 1833 in Kortright, Delaware County, NY. He married Lavinah Jones 8 May 1788. She was born 11 Sept. 1770 and died 20 July 1845. They are buried at Doonan's Corners Cemetery in Kortright. In "Connecticut Nutmeggers who Migrated", I found Joel Spencer, b. ca 1719 in Haddam, CT, who died 1806 in Maryland, Otsego County, NY. Since the towns are not far from each other, this COULD be the family connection that's been eluding me. Does anyone have some data on the Spencers of Otsego County?
