Hi Linda, I am wondering how the death of the book's author affect any copyright infringement. If the book only recorded what was in the public domain ... vital records that any of us, if we were in the area, could go look up for ourselves .... then those records may not be covered by copyright laws. Perhaps if you contact one of her survivors, they may have a different view, and allow you to post your index online. Just some thoughts. Before her death I had written and ask her if this could be put on the internet. She said no. However, if there are names you wish for me to look up will gladly do so.
