    1. Re: [NYDELAWA] Joshua Pine & Peter St. John
    2. Hi Barbara, I am sorry I took so long to get back to you. I have your Peter St. John (1726-1811) who married Mary Cook as the son of Daniel St. John and an unknown female. I have Daniel St. John (1695-1757) as the son of Ebenezer St. John (1660-1724) and Elizabeth Comstock (1674-1723). Elizabeth was my 1C10R. I also have a Peter St. John who died the same day as the Peter above with no wife, but the child of Daniel St. John (1700-1761) and Mary Benedict (1699-1761). I have this Daniel St. John as the son of James St. John (1674-1754) and Mary Comstock (1672-1749). Mary Comstock was my 1C10R. Mary and Elizabeth Comstock were sisters. They were the daughters of Christopher Comstock (1635-1702) and Hannah Platt (1643-1713). I have a Peter St. John (1762-1824) as the son of your Peter St. John and Mary Cook. I have his wives as Sarah Hoyt (no dates) and Rachel Jones (1767-1841). Rachel's first husband was Jonathan Weed (1758-1841). I have no children for Peter with either wife. I noticed your surname in your email. In my database, I have a William Henry (HEARD) (HERD) HURD who married an Azuba G. Potter about 1873 in Wayne County, PA. I wondered if he might be related to your Heard Family. He was the son of Thomas (HEARD) (HERD) HURD and Hannah (DONY) DONEY. I have not found a wife named Anna for any of my Joshua Pines, but I also don't have wife names for two of my Joshua Pines. I have 3 Joshua Pines in my files. They are: - my 4th great-grandfather Joshua Pine who was married to Margaret ? Pine. He died before 1818 and had the following 6 children: Joshua (1799 - 1888), Charles (circa 1803 - 1865) who married Mira (?), Alfred (circa 1807 - ?) who married Phebe Patrick, Margaret (circa 1810 - 1900) who married Richard Patrick, Mary (b. before 1818), and George (b. before 1818). - my 3rd great-granduncle, one of the children listed above (circa 1799 - 1888). He was b in Delaware County. I don't know who he married, but I believe he may have had a daughter named Caroline (based on 1850 census). In the 1855 NY state census he has no wife listed, and he is not listed as a widow. One Hannah Pine, my 2nd great-grandaunt is enumerated with him and is listed as his niece, as she is in other censuses. - my 2nd great-granduncle who I know almost nothing about. I found him in the 1850 census listed as a 10 year old in my 3rd great-grandfather, Alfred Pine's household. Now on to Peter St. John. Again, I have 3 Peter St. Johns in my files. - I have a 5th great-grandfather b. 11 Jan 1726 in Norwalk, Fairfield County, CT, died 4 Jan 1811 in Walton. He married Mary Cook circa 1761. They had 11 children, Peter, Hannah, Elizabeth, Lydia, Anna, Cook, Rachel, William, Rebecca, Ezekiel, and Joseph. I have NO SOURCES for any of this information. It was given to me by a cousin and I have not yet verified any of it. - I have a 4th great-granduncle Peter St. John b. 30 Oct 1762 in Norwalk, Fairfield County, CT., died 28 Jun 1824, I don't know where. Again, I have NO SOURCES for any of this information. It was given to me by the same cousin and I have not yet verified any of it either. - I have a no-blood-relationship Peter St. John b circa 1823 in CT, married Cynthia (?) circa 1848, who had one son Levi b. circa 1849. I got all of this family information from the Walton, Delaware County, NY 1850 federal census. I haven't followed him to his death. I don't know anything more about him than was on that one census. So, does any of this additional information fit anywhere in to any of your information for either Joshua Pine or Peter St. John? I look forward to hearing from you.
