I'm going through a mess of pictures that my late parents had and have found four pictures of a Lucille Carruthers (all as a little girl or teenager, I think). The pictures were all taken in a Colorado studio. I think I've managed to find out a bit about her and I think she has a Walton connection. Here's what I've found looking at some census records: A Mary Lucille Carruthers was born August 1893 in Colorado. In 1900, she was living with her mother and grandparents in Denver. Her mother was Jennie Carruthers. She was born in November 1869 in New York State. Her grandparents are Charles St. John (born Dec 1847) and his wife Kate (born Mar 1846). I found a Charles St. John on the 1860 census for Walton. His age seems right (13) for the Charles I found in Denver in 1900. His parents are William and Betsy Ann St. John. I think Kate St. John was a friend of my grandmother or of her mother, Kate Miller Barnhart, though I'm not sure.
