Denise, thanks for trying. I would be a very "long shot". If the John below that you name were the father of Stephen J. (whom I mentioned) born Sept. 1831, John would have been age 51. Age 51 is NOT too old for the father, but the mother would probably have to be at least 10 years younger, like age 41. But I don't know any such facts at this time. However, Denise, can you tell me where Andrew & Grace (Hart) ARCHIBALD lived when those children were being born??? With that little bit of information, I might be able to "stumble" into some more pieces (facts) that might help me to know for sure whether the two ARCHIBALD men (families?) could fit together as grandfather, son and grandson. Do you think Andrew ARCHIBALD lived in New York state, Pennsylvania state, or elsewhere? Historical files were available; including pictures, personal profiles, special occasions, etc. We were welcomed by elders willing to reminisce with us and it has given us a greater depth of knowledge of each of these individuals. Hope this helps.Denise Kurkowski Deleware Co. What about mourning jewelery. My husband has a necklace that is made out of hair with a locket. It belonged to his aunt who was a nun. It was one of the few possessions she left. There are photos in the locket and we are believing this is her father and mother. I was also told you can write to the Order she belonged to and recieve information on her. Has anyone have information about this.> Thank you.> Suzanne> Researching the Hicks Coleman Sanford in Delaware County> > > > -----Original Message-----> From: rtreff@stny.rr.com> To: NYDELAWA-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sat, 20 Jan 2007 2:46 PM> Subject: [NYDELAWA] photos of the dead> > > Hi everyone,> > There has been an interesting discussion going on another list regarding> photos of the dead.
