    3. You're right Gary - I did not word it as well as I should have. I prefer that replies keep enough of the thread, including who wrote what, so that I can follow it even if I missed earlier posts. I would urge everyone who receives the digest version to consider changing to the MIME format if you haven't already done so. With the MIME format, each message comes as a separate attachment which, when opened, is just as if you had received the non-digest version of the message. That way you can easily reply to that message and not have cut out other threads, change the subject line, etc. There is a separate attachment with each MIME version of the digest that lists the subjects of the attached messages but I usually just look at the attachment subjects in my email reader. The list administrator can change your subscription to the MIME format, although I haven't been able to contact the admin of several lists that I subscribe to. Some email systems (I believe AOL is one of them) do not support the MIME format. Before the change to the new email system, the MIME format was the default for the digest version. -----Original Message----- From: Rene' [mailto:rtreff@stny.rr.com] Sent: Saturday, January 20, 2007 3:32 PM To: nydelawa@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [NYDELAWA] Mailing List Rules 6th - Please remember to delete the previous emails when replying especially if they do not pertain to anything - as this also uses a lot of space and is a nightmare for those of us who get digest mail.
