I am trying to figure out where the Arena (new) cemetary is and if anyone has transcribed it? I am researching the following family who was removed from the cemetary where the pepacton res. was. CARROLL, FRELOVE 1888 ARENA (NEW) MARGARETVILLE, N.Y. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Renee Wright

Renee, Since you asked for help, here is some from North Carolina....but I grew up in Delaware county and have chased family history for years. Went back and looked at the Pepacton reservior records and found that Frelove was moved from the new Arena cemetery and resettled in the Margaretville cemetery. If you want to find the gravestone, it should be in the Margaretville cemetery. Arena is still under water and expects to be for many years yet. There were two Arena cemeteries the old and the new.... Will be glad to add anything more but this is a short answer. I had a number of my old family buried at Shavertown and then moved along with the rest.
