What vital records, newspapers, doctor's records, etc. would be available for these towns in the 1850s? I have an ancestor who died/disappeared in the 1850s and another who was born around 1857.
Remember that vital records (birth, death and marriage certificates) will not exist for any town in New York before 1880. You might have some luck with church records. ----- Original Message ----- From: Julie A Sanford <julie_a_sanford@cornerstone.edu> Date: Monday, September 24, 2007 8:58 am Subject: [NYDELAWA] Margaretville/Middletown Records for 1850s To: NYDELAWA@rootsweb.com > What vital records, newspapers, doctor's records, etc. would be > available for > these towns in the 1850s?
