I just want people to know that they shouldn't believe everything they find on the internet. I was trying to update some information on my nephews Ackerly family today, and wound up at a site called Find-a-Grave. Generally most of the information I've seen there is correct. But today I found a posting that my nephews son was dead. How could I possibly miss something like this I asked myself. After a fast phone call I am happy to say the young man in question, now 26, is alive and well. Since he lives in New Jersey I don't really see him that often but we do care about our family. After the initial shock wore off, I tried to send a note to the person who had posted- Mike Plo- needless to say the note came back saying the account has been disabled or discontinued. I'm the only person researching this side of my family, so I'm the only one who found the post. I don't know what more to say. It was a cruel Hoax. And just for the record none of this Ackerly family is buried in Youngsville Cem, Sullivan County anyhow! evelyn
"Calamity Jane" I don't understand why people do things like that, either - thanks for the heads up - I would like to get in touch with you about the Ackerly surname...
