Dear Sally in No.CAR., Aren't you glad that some rain is falling there this week,Sally? I live in California-So.Cal. to be specific -and we are in a fire-storm mess following our second year of extreme drought here. BAD,BAD. The nearest fire to me is about 25 miles. So-O.K. for now. Two weeks ago I was researching in the Delaware Co. Historical Museam in DELHI,NYS.The name I was researching in particular was EVERETT.A great-grandmother of mine was widowed twice--then married a ROGER's. I do not yet know his first name and think that marrieage occured in Broome County anyway but this is NOT the first time that ROGERS has surfaced in my EVERETT research. However--when I saw some papers in Delhi with a ROGERS- EVERETT connection, I simply decided to copy them in case of a future connection. You are in luck because, Sally--there are mention of TWO named Rufus! plus some other connective information. Isn't that great? ROGERS,Rufus---NO data but married to Polly [CUNNINGHAM ].No parents listed for these two people and NO SOURCE CONTRIBUTER NAMED,either. Sorry. But, seems to have perhaps been an EVERETT descendant. ROGERS,Rufus M.--Born in Sidney,NY 1822 and married to Margaret L. [DAVIS]. She was born in Unadilla in 1831.There is more info. on the DAVIS family. [ROGERS], Margaret--born in Sidney in 1875. She married a Ralph S. EVERETT born in Castle Creek,Chenango TWP.,Broome Co.,NY.There is some more info on the EVERETT family. It DOES connect to 'my' EVERETT's--BUT THROUGH A LINE OF COUSINS. There is some cemetery-plot information also. Sally-- if you write to HELEN at the Delhi Museum--she has some more on this ROGERs family, I think. No other children are mentioned in what I copied to bring home from my trip.THEY CHARGE .25 A PAGE AND WHAT I HAVE was six pages. That will give you some idea of charges. Let me know if this info. is helpful, will you, please. I happen to think that these kinds ofunexpected 'happening' are 'meant to be--for some reason. Yours,Charlotte J. Sheldon
