I've been curious about the same thing. My Scots ancestors arrived in Del Co about 1845 from Letham in Angus. I don't know why they chose Delaware Co either. I suspect they had friends or relatives from their village already there, but no proof. Would love to hear of others experiences in this research area. Thanks. There are about 33 hits for "Roxburg" or "Roxburghsire" on the Delaware county web-site. Can anyone tell me what the big attraction was to Delaware county, especially Bovina, over other counties in NY state that drew so many people from one county in Scotland? Thank you. ~Valerie ____________________________________________________________________________________ Take the Internet to Go: Yahoo!Go puts the Internet in your pocket: mail, news, photos & more. http://mobile.yahoo.com/go?refer=1GNXIC To contact list administrator send email to nydelawa-admin@rootsweb.com ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to NYDELAWA-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
