    3. The archives for the Daily Star obits are free if you are talking of the Oneonta Daily Star. I search them all the time. If you go to their main page and click on Obituary Archives and then click on the part that says.. For obituaries prior to April 3, 2006 please <http://www.thedailystar.com/news/community/obits/index2.html>click here. That will take you to pages where you can view obits back as far as July 1998. At the top of the page it shows April 2006, but if you scroll all the way to the bottom you'll see 1998 - 2004 2005 and 2006 are on that page you are on. There is no charge to view any of them!
