There were Kilpatricks in Delaware Co. by 1800 and they certainly considered themselves Scots. However, naturalization papers at the court house say they came from Armagh, Northern Ireland - an indication that they had been resettled in Ireland at some point before their emigration. No idea why they chose Delaware Co.
