In a recent inquiry, a man by the name of Ezra SMITH was mentioned as selling land in Harpersfield. My great-grandmother's maiden name was SMITH- her father being Ezra SMITH. All indications say the SMITH family were residents of Elmira in Chemung County (New York), but I have been unable to verify if Ezra Smith and his family were actually from there. Knowing how much families bounced from county to county, does anyone have any info. to point me in the direction of Delaware county? Thank you, Judy Stromsted
