I have a Parker ancestor whose husband was from Delaware County. My ggg grandfather, George Wilcox (of Delaware County, NY) married Hannah Parker, who was born 3 APR 1807 in Verona, Oneida, New York according to RootsWeb and LDS sources. Hannah died on Jul 15 1836 and was buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Summerfield Township, Monroe County, Michigan. Her father, Joshua Parker, was buried in Raisinville Twp., Monroe, MI, according to RootsWeb and LDS sources, and came from Wallingford, New Haven, CT (LDS) or Connecticut (1850 Census). Adjacent to what I think is his 1850 Census record in the Township of Dundee is a Morgan Parker, aged 30 and from New York, but Morgan is a loose end in that I do not finding him in any RootsWeb genealogies. Does anybody have documentation pertaining to this? K Powell wrote: > I'd like to begin a discussion of earliest Parker families in Delaware County, > if and how they are related. I also have Parker ancestors of Wallingford, CT in my lineage. I am descended from Abraham and Damaris (Abernathy) Parker both born 1720. Their son William (my gggg grandfather) married and moved to Greene County, NY following the Revolution. I also have the surname Gillette and Wilcox . You might find this site helpful as it is very extensive and pretty wonderful. Don't be discouraged if you don't find your ancestors name listed in the surnames list, mine is only listed in the body of it with his parents/siblings. The site welcomes queries! Maybe you will also find a clue there. I hope this link works: http://aleph0.clarku.edu/~djoyce/gen/ Regards, Sheila ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dr. Steven P.
