Hello, Perhaps something new has emerged and someone can now help me to identify the parents and siblings of Garret and Mary Arnold. They appear in Franklin for the 1840 census, with a family of 2 boys and 2 girls, all under the age of 15. In Delaware Co. Deeds, 1840, they bought land from Elijah B. Georgia. By December, 1841, they are "of Davenport", buying land from Amasa Parker. In November, 1843, still of Davenport, they bought land from Ezra Smith. By the 1850 census, they are in Illinois. Garret Arnold was born in 1808 in NY, Mary (unknown) was born 1 July, 1804 in New York. They should have married around 1828 in NY. Has anyone anything more on the New York years and families of these people, please? Thank you Anna P.S. This is NOT the Garret Arnold of the railway boarding house in Indiana later. He is NOT the Garret Arnold married to Lucy Boardman.AAnd I have been able to find them in the Barbour Collection, so far. --------------------------------- Boardwalk for $500? In 2007? Ha!
