Freeman and Esther were married after 1870 and before 1875. Children of Freeman's appear to be: (Elsie)/Cassie, b. 1859, Margaret/Magie J b. abt. 1861, Hattie/(Lavine?), b. abt. 1869, Mary, b. abt. 1871, Anna/Annie, b. abt. 1873, Martha Alice, b. Aug-1877, John, b. Mar-1880 and Clinton F, b. Aug-1883. I am unable to determine the mother of Mary and Anna/Annie. It would appear Hattie/(Lavine) would be Mariett's daughter as Mariett/Mary E was enumerated in the 1870 census. Amanda, daughter of Jacob WHITNEY and Nellie FREEMAN, born 08-Apr-1838, died 07-Aug-1912 in Colchester, Del. Co., NY: Married James Page HITT, born Nov-1822, died 17-May-1909, son of James HITT and Catherine MILLER. Children: Mary J. born Dec-1859 Margaret A born Aug-1862 in Colchester James Albert born 10-Sep-1866 Emma C born June-1869 Estella J born Oct-1876 Amanda and James are both buried Paige Cemetery, Downsvilley, Delaware Co., NY.
