    3. Freeman, son of Jacob WHITNEY and Nellie FREEMAN, born July-1832: Married 1) Mariett GREGORY, 2) Esther GREGORY, both daughters of John GREGORY and Priscilla CONKLIN. Freeman and Esther were married after 1870 and before 1875. Children of Freeman's appear to be: (Elsie)/Cassie, b. 1859, Margaret/Magie J b. abt. 1861, Hattie/(Lavine?), b. abt. 1869, Mary, b. abt. 1871, Anna/Annie, b. abt. 1873, Martha Alice, b. Aug-1877, John, b. Mar-1880 and Clinton F, b. Aug-1883. I am unable to determine the mother of Mary and Anna/Annie. It would appear Hattie/(Lavine) would be Mariett's daughter as Mariett/Mary E was enumerated in the 1870 census. Amanda, daughter of Jacob WHITNEY and Nellie FREEMAN, born 08-Apr-1838, died 07-Aug-1912 in Colchester, Del. Co., NY: Married James Page HITT, born Nov-1822, died 17-May-1909, son of James HITT and Catherine MILLER. Children: Mary J. born Dec-1859 Margaret A born Aug-1862 in Colchester James Albert born 10-Sep-1866 Emma C born June-1869 Estella J born Oct-1876 Amanda and James are both buried Paige Cemetery, Downsvilley, Delaware Co., NY. Would appreciate any corrections or additional information pertaining to any of the above families. Thanks!
