Offline I was asked if I have a connection to Delaware County Brown family. My answer is no because Brown is not my maiden name. However, I did a lot of research with my former sister-in-law. "My" <direct line> of Browns didn't settle in Delaware County that I have found. Most of them came to Chenango, Madison, and Cortland counties in the early 1800s from Stonington and North Stonington, Connecticut; and Lynn, Massachusettes and England before that. There are two books about these Browns that I know of: 1. Brown Genealogy/Of Many of The Descendants of Thomas, John, and Eleazer Brown/ sons of/Thomas and Mary (Newhall) Brown of Lynn, Mass./1628-1907/ by Cyrus Henry Brown. Boston. The Everett Press Company. 1907 2. Vol. II Brown Genealogy, 1915. (Has parts 1 and 2). Part 1 refers to the above family and Part 2 is "Part II/Many of the Descendants of/ Charles Browne/of Rowley, Mass./1647-1915 by the above same author, publisher. 1915. There is a third Brown genealogy I've seen: Ebenezer Brown and His Descendants by Jennie Brown Hollist, Imogene Brown and Family Representatives. Bob Davis Publishing Co. 1979. Of course, there must be other Brown genealogies than these. Some indexes are very often surname, name indexes in these books that helps research by name. ~Valerie ____________________________________________________________________________________Boardwalk for $500?
