Mary Ann, I only have from Elijah down. Walton is very close to Masonville, so I thought you might have a connection. Elijah was born abt 1760 d. 1840. I don't know where he came from, nor who his wife was. Wouldn't you think they were somehow related being it was such a small community. I read that Joseph Whitman came here from England at an early age, born around the 1790's, he died in 1870. He married Mary Maria (Polly) Boughton in West Durham, NY and settled in Oak Hill, NY. His son, Francis, was born in West Durham and had children born in the following towns, Hunter, Walton, and Hancock. Does Joseph Whitman fit into the Masonville Whitmans? Thanks, Mary Ann
