Elijah b. abt 1760 d. 31 Aug 1848 buried lower Whitman Cemetery wife's name unknown Children: Elijah 17 Jan 1784 d. 3 mar 1864 Phebe unknown dates Ichabod P. 29 aug 1790 d. 2 aug 1862 Samuel 1782 d. 1831 Elijah jr. maried Mary Young b. 21 mar 1785 both buried in Whitman Cemetery - Elijah was a deacon of the Baptist Church in Masonville. Their children: Susan Maria 23 mar 1807 Stephen 1 may 1808 d. 4 feb 1894 Phoebe Salina 18 sep 1810 Betsey 28 feb 1814 Sabrina 9 feb 1816 d. 24 aug 1851 Mary Ann 11 apr 1818 James Young 20 may 1820 Jesse 24 sep 1824 Jane Caroline 6 feb 1826 d. 7 jul 1916 Sally abt 1830 Elijah 2 nov 1812 Sally b. abt 1830 d. unknown married Stillman Davis b. 1811 d. 1897 buried Beach Hill Cemetery Masonville Stillman was also married to Betsey Whitman b. 28 Feb 1814 d. 1834 - she is also buried on Beach Hill. Sally and Stillman had the following children: Elijah W. 12 aug 1846 d. 27 dec 1931 Emily C.abt 1845 Eugene abt 1854 Elijah W. married Ida Lee Couse b. 16 feb 1850 d. 24 feb 1925 they had at least 1 child: Jesse E. Davis b. abt 1878 d. unknown married Mabel b. abt 1872 deaths unknown Ida Lee's parents were Hosea B. Getter b. 1817 d. 22 Oct 1887 and Hannah Maria Getter b. 3 Dec 1821 d. 1865 - they had 16 children - The Getter's are my direct line. I have some more information regarding Stephen, Sabrina, Mary Ann, James, Jesse, Jane, and Elijah, if you need it, or maybe you can fill me in on what I don't have. Even though the Whitmans are not a direct line, I like to gather as much information as I can about certain families in the Masonville area. This was a very small community and many of the families married into each other. Rene'
