I can tell you I'm not much help. That said, I have your Alexander & dau Catherine. I think your Alexander was enumerated at Horseheads, Chemung, on 1855 NY State census in William's household, although 1860 Catherine which has been lopped off and is now Schuyler Co, has a similar household with a William and "axcie" who say they're from CT. Through a series of marriages a descendant of Catherine Campbell married a Shappee and a Shappee had married Shoemaker Hill's widow there in Chemung Co. I have other Campbells in Chemung County, one of whom married one of "my" McKinneys. I have Stewarts down in Delaware County, one of whom married one of "my" Cooks.
