    2. Anne, There are no Arnold's listed in the contents of the book "Intermarriages, etc." I will scan the book though and see if there is a mention of them. 1. [NYDELAWA] 120 Birthdays Listed
    2. Another fun resource for you Walton researchers ... I just donated a trascription of Reta L. Elwood's birthday book to Joyce's website. The book lists the birthdays of about 120 Walton-area residents, along with her notes, including two newspaper clippings. The earliest birthdate appears to be 1828, and the newest about 1964. Don't let the "Elwood" name keep you from checking this list for your surname ... Reta listed her friends here, as well. Women appear to be listed by married name. Here's the link: http://www.dcnyhistory.org/elwood-birthday-book.html Best wishes, Carolee Inskeep

    1. [NYDELAWA] Bovina 2007 Calendar update
    2. Ray LaFever
    3. If you are interested in getting the Bovina Historical Society 2007 calendar featuring the common schools in Bovina, they will be available at Russells Store in Bovina for $10. If a trip to Bovina won't work for you, you may order a calendar from Jan Bray, PO Box 42, Bovina Center, NY 13740. Or you can e-mail her at nichebray@dmcom.net. We're not sure about the postage and handling cost, but they'll probably be $2-$3. Thanks. Ray LaFever

    1. [NYDELAWA] Nathaniel Wolcott of Sidney, Delaware Co., NY
    2. Charles Wolcott
    3. I am seeking information on the family of Nathaniel Wolcott, born 1764 in Brookfield, MA, settled in the mid-1790's along Ouleout Creek in Franklin/Sidney Township, died 1847 in Sidney, Delaware Co., NY. He married Elizabeth (Betsey) Pease in 1787 in Sturbridge, MA. In particular, I am seeking information on the children in this family, including my g.g.grandfather, William Wolcott, who was born about 1800 in New York, moved to Alabama in the mid-1830's, and then to Texas in 1853. 1. [NYDELAWA] Bovina Historical Society Calendar
    2. Ray LaFever
    3. Hello folks. The Bovina Historical Society's 2007 Calendar will be available tomorrow (November 11) at the Society's annual holiday sale at the Community Hall in Bovina Center. The calendar will be $10. This year's theme is Bovina's Common School Districts, featuring a different school district each month, with pictures of the schools and/or the students who attended the schools. The calendar also will be available at Russell's Store in Bovina, and through the Historical Society by mail. When I have the specifics as to who to contact, I'll pass it on to the list. There will be approximately a $2 postage charge to mail the calendars. In the interest of full disclosure, the calendar content and layout was developed by me. All the proceeds for the calendar, however, go to the Historical Society. Thanks. Ray LaFever Town of Bovina Historian
