    3. Hello again News for you. I called the national chapter at 202-628-1776. They sent me to Glenna Accord 202-679-3325. She looked up the chapter, it was organized in 1922 and disbanded in 1989. All of the records should have gone to the State Society and that contact person is Elizabeth McKee at 518-329-3921. Let me know how you make out! 1. [NYDELAWA] Updated GEDCOM File "D. F. Hoy Roots & Branches"
    2. Richard Davidson
    3. Hi Joyce, I wanted to let you know I have just updated my GEDCOM file "D. F. Hoy Roots & Branches" on the Rootsweb World Connect website, which is linked through your dcnyhistory.org site. This has been a major project to incorporate as many of the "Early Bovina Families" individuals with whom I was able to establish a link. The GEDCOM now has 33,789 entries, as compared to about 20,000 in the Jan 2006 update. There will be many duplications in the file which will take considerable effort to resolve, but this also ties together many families that were difficult to connect through the "Early Bovina Families" files. Please post a notice on your site directing readers to the updated file. Thanks Richard T. Davidson

    1. [NYDELAWA] Ezra SMITH
    2. Judy Stromsted
    3. In a recent inquiry, a man by the name of Ezra SMITH was mentioned as selling land in Harpersfield. My great-grandmother's maiden name was SMITH- her father being Ezra SMITH. All indications say the SMITH family were residents of Elmira in Chemung County (New York), but I have been unable to verify if Ezra Smith and his family were actually from there. Knowing how much families bounced from county to county, does anyone have any info. to point me in the direction of Delaware county? Thank you, Judy Stromsted

    1. [NYDELAWA] Garret and Mary Arnold of Franklin and Davenport
    2. The Poupel/Morddel family
    3. I am seeking the parents of Garret Arnold (1808-1852) and Mary Arnold who appear in the 1840 census for Franklin, and who went on a buying spree at about that time: 3rd March, 1840, "Garret Arnold of Franklin" bought land from Elijah B. and Electa Georgia for $80 21 December, 1841, "Garret Arnold and Mary ...of Davenport" bought land from Amasa Parker for $1 (why so cheap? a favour?) 28 November, 1843, "Garret Arnold of Davenport" and Mary bought land from "Ezra Smith of Harpersfield" for $500. Was Garret related to the Horace Arnold and/or the Francis Arnold in Davenport at the same time? Did he come from somewhere else? Why, after buying all that land did he sell up almost immediately and go to Illinois? Any hints or help much appreciated. Thank you. Anna --------------------------------- Get your own web address. 3. I also have Parker ancestors of Wallingford, CT in my lineage. I am descended from Abraham and Damaris (Abernathy) Parker both born 1720. Their son William (my gggg grandfather) married and moved to Greene County, NY following the Revolution. I also have the surname Gillette and Wilcox . You might find this site helpful as it is very extensive and pretty wonderful. Don't be discouraged if you don't find your ancestors name listed in the surnames list, mine is only listed in the body of it with his parents/siblings. The site welcomes queries! Maybe you will also find a clue there. I hope this link works: http://aleph0.clarku.edu/~djoyce/gen/ Regards, Sheila ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dr. Steven P.
