    2. Pat Coyle
    3. Thanks, Sally! My WHITNEY information stems from my research interest related to CONKLIN, GREGORY, HITT and MILLER. A GREGORY genealogy that I have notes John GREGORY to be a cooper and had a farm in Union Grove, Andes. They were originally buried in Shavertown and then reinterred to the Hamden Cemetery. The genealogy notes the children of Maryett and Freeman WHITNEY to be Cassie, Margaret, Hattie and Mamie and the children of Esther and Freeman to be Anna, John, Alice and Clinton Pat At 08:29 AM 8/19/2007 -0400, you wrote: >Pat, > >I've forwarded your note on to Sally Goodfellow in Charlotte who is a >descendant of the Whitneys. 3. Pat, I've forwarded your note on to Sally Goodfellow in Charlotte who is a descendant of the Whitneys. Her main objective is to find any clue as to proving who are the parents of Jacob Whitney and Nellie Freeman. Having more on each of the children should prove helpful, I would think. In one of the census books, her grandfather actually wrote next to Jacob's name "Union Grove" and then some of the sons' names and the page numbers!! 3. Freeman, son of Jacob WHITNEY and Nellie FREEMAN, born July-1832: Married 1) Mariett GREGORY, 2) Esther GREGORY, both daughters of John GREGORY and Priscilla CONKLIN. Freeman and Esther were married after 1870 and before 1875. Children of Freeman's appear to be: (Elsie)/Cassie, b. 1859, Margaret/Magie J b. abt. 1861, Hattie/(Lavine?), b. abt. 1869, Mary, b. abt. 1871, Anna/Annie, b. abt. 1873, Martha Alice, b. Aug-1877, John, b. Mar-1880 and Clinton F, b. Aug-1883. I am unable to determine the mother of Mary and Anna/Annie. It would appear Hattie/(Lavine) would be Mariett's daughter as Mariett/Mary E was enumerated in the 1870 census. Amanda, daughter of Jacob WHITNEY and Nellie FREEMAN, born 08-Apr-1838, died 07-Aug-1912 in Colchester, Del. Co., NY: Married James Page HITT, born Nov-1822, died 17-May-1909, son of James HITT and Catherine MILLER. Children: Mary J. born Dec-1859 Margaret A born Aug-1862 in Colchester James Albert born 10-Sep-1866 Emma C born June-1869 Estella J born Oct-1876 Amanda and James are both buried Paige Cemetery, Downsvilley, Delaware Co., NY. Would appreciate any corrections or additional information pertaining to any of the above families. Thanks! 3. We are looking for more information on Jacob and Nellie Freeman Whitney's family and ancestry. We have them in Andes in 1850 and 1860 but not in 1855. Several of the children are there in 1850, 55, 60 & 65 and beyond. Jacob and Nellie died in a house fire in 1861 but all their children survived as they were elsewhere as adults. Some of the children were born Ulster Co. There were said to be 13 in all. The names I've seen so far include William R. Whitney who seemed to have been head of the family for some time. Others included Henry, Freeman, George (Civil War), Eli, Amanda. No parents for Jacob Whitney or Nellie Freeman have been found. Thanks!! Sally Chirlin

    3. It means "the same as above", so if New York was on the line above the Do, then Do on the next line means that that the person(s) with Do after their names were also born in New York. Please visit the Table of Contents page of the website and follow the 'new' and 'updated' icons to reach latest materials. This morning I put on a beautifully scanned 1869 Town of Bovina map that Ray LaFever submitted. 3. Do your Bundy's connect with those in Otsego County? The earliest Bundy that I have so far is Peter who was married to Priscilla Prentice several of his family went to Otsego County - Oneonta and Otego. Some of the children s family married into those living in Masonville. Thanks, Rene' -------Original Message------- From: Lyndal Aufdenkamp Date: 8/9/2007 9:40:05 PM To: nydelawa@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [NYDELAWA] More Scots of Delaware help Bonnie.............thank you for your response. Sorry to be so long in replying. Decided I needed some time away from here. It looks like you have the same information I have except I find nothing giving the birthplace for William in Meredith. The 1820 census lists Bennett in Delhi. This info comes from a census book in Salt Lake City. The 1830 lists Benjamin Bundy (father of Bennett) in Masonville and shows 5 in family between ages 20 and 30 and 2 under 5..................could this be that Bennett was living with them at the time? 1840 puts Bennett back in Delhi with 3 males 10 to 15 and that would put William in that range. You probably have all this census information.............I can't help but think he was born in Delhi.............any suggestions? Lyndal
