Hi Lyndal, Thanks so much!! If you can give me the name of the book it might easier. I could probably (hopefully) find it. I am interested in all the children, but in particular Priscilla who married Isaac Gates any info on her and her children - I do not have a death date for her at all. Esther Bundy who married Henry Shepherd - I do not have a death date or location for her - I do have information on her and her children, but they moved to the western part of NY later in life as evident from when Henry applied for his pension, but after that I cannot find them. Elisha Bundy who married Abigail French - this is where I think is the beginning of the French/Wheeler connection. I have practically nothing on this family Those are my most important right now. I'll take anything you want to give me and no matter on how long it takes - I'm busy too, so I totally understand. But as I say, if I can find the book.......... Dear Gail, You are correct - these farms were along the river. As to whether they still exist, I don't think so. You might write to Florence Prehn - she might possibly know. Prehnfm@juno.com She wrote Lumber, Shingles & Chips which is a history of New Kingston valley and its inhabitants. She & I are both descended from Johann Nicholas Yaple. (Or Honnickle/Honnigal and various spelllings) I want to say that the land now lies under the Pepacton Reservoir (upper end) but I don't know right off the top of my head. Hello, Perhaps something new has emerged and someone can now help me to identify the parents and siblings of Garret and Mary Arnold. They appear in Franklin for the 1840 census, with a family of 2 boys and 2 girls, all under the age of 15. In Delaware Co. Deeds, 1840, they bought land from Elijah B. Georgia. By December, 1841, they are "of Davenport", buying land from Amasa Parker. In November, 1843, still of Davenport, they bought land from Ezra Smith. By the 1850 census, they are in Illinois. Garret Arnold was born in 1808 in NY, Mary (unknown) was born 1 July, 1804 in New York. They should have married around 1828 in NY. Has anyone anything more on the New York years and families of these people, please? Thank you Anna P.S. This is NOT the Garret Arnold of the railway boarding house in Indiana later. He is NOT the Garret Arnold married to Lucy Boardman.AAnd I have been able to find them in the Barbour Collection, so far. --------------------------------- Boardwalk for $500? In 2007? Ha! Les, Am at work right now and without my data, but John is included in Grant Gregory's genealogy. I believe he makes reference to John's wife being either a HUNTLEY or a CONKLIN. I have a HITT genealogy that, I believe, identifies his wife as Priscilla CONKLIN, which is my family interest.
