I have found out in the last few hours that there seems to be a problem with the national system of routers that are used to channel internet web pages to people. This relay system seems to have broken down at an AT &T facility. At least that is what the traces I have seen show. Not everybody will be affected by this outage. For example, myself and the Cortland ACC, Jim, can navigate pages with no problem. However, it was a Cortland user that first alerted me to the problem. Depends on where you are in connection to the outage. Proximity isn't the key, however, since the outage is supposedly at a Missouri facility and I live in Arkansas. The problem is not a solely Rootsweb problem. AOL, CNN and other national systems are affected by the outage. Symptoms include page time out messages and garbled pages. These problems should be temporary. However, if you receive a garbled page from either of my sites, please let me know so can double check it after the problem is resolved.
