Mrs. Lille Skeele Barnes (Died July 15, 1943) 91. widow of Milo Barnes, died yesterday at her home, 212 N. Townsend St. Born at East Homer, June 16, 1852, she attended Homer and Cortland academy and taught several years. She was past president of the auxiliary to Passenger Conductors 143. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. George Stevens; a son, Harry E. Barnes; a sister, Mrs. Charles A Clements; a brother Verne Skeele, Cortland, and two grandchildren; Miss Dorothy Eastwood, Albany, and Robert LeGalley Barnes, with the army in Africa. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at the Fairchild & Meech funeral rooms. Burial will be in Cortland rural cemetery. >From Family Notes: She was the daughter of Albert Skeele and Mary Utley. Albert born April 2, 1827; died March 7, 1896 Soldier during the Civil War.
