In January 1892, Dr. A.J.Givens, formerly of Virgil, opened his sanitarium at Stamford, Conn. it was called Dr. Givens Sanitarium. Amos and I are descended from the same Samuel Givens that came to Dryden, NY in 1804. He and his wife,Mary, adopted three motherless children, Cecil, Marie and Webster Ingrahm.
