A question came up at work yesterday concerning middle names. Hopefully one of these Genealogy lists can help to answer it for me. Why do people have middle names? What was the origin? According to one lady from Greece, she claimed Europeans do not have middle names. Does anyone know anything about this??? Thank you very much. Anne
