Hello, I am sending a copy of a letter I have in my possession. This gives insight of blacksmith apprenticeship/ I am not sure who Frank was. He must have lived in Alfred. Albert's mother was Caroline Woolworth. She died Feb. 18, 1843 in Alfred Albert's sister Pamelia married Clark Cartwright from Andover Albert's brother John died July 30, 1887 John had two children Addie and Sarah ...they were still living after Jan 11, 1920 in Alfred..I would like to know when they died and where they were buried. Elias is at work for Gardner we have some good times, such as parties that are rite, after all I should like to see some of the people but I am contented while I stay in Scott. Hiram Gardner (maybe Hiram and Gardner) have desolved partnership we are all at work in the old shop at present, Gardner talks of working out by the month next spring. I shall come to Alfred next spring if circumstances and things prosper. John tell Frank that I should like to see him out hear we have debating schools and singing schools once a week. Leonard is doing very well at presant, as for myself I cannot say much, I can make a horse nail & shoe so not being well varst in writen.
