In district 10 are Samuel Rounda, Gardener Hopkins, ****John Price 2 days of work on the road ,**** John Price Jr. 3 days work on the road, *****Zechariah Price 4 and 1/2 days, Hiram Green, George Saltsman, Robert Ryan, Isaac Bloomer, Abraham Chatterton, Eli Johnson, Gideon Robinson, Cristopher Champlin, ****Daniel Price 4 days of work on the road, Archelous Green, and Asa Perry. They are all neighbors. Cannot tell you if road frontage or actual amount of acreage they each owned was used to determine to amt. of time spent on the upkeep of the road. This is only for the actual town of Virgil, Cortland Co. NY. I have the complete road list and no EHLES and only the PRICES are shown in District 10. ***** Also have for Virgil 1825 census is a William EHLE -------4 males total in household, and ------4 females total in the household, --------1 male of voting age , -------- is 3 the number of females in the household unmarried and under 16 yrs. of age. I rechecked the road list and no EHLE listed. In the 1825 census for Virgil is a Jacob PRICE -------5 males total----2 females total----- 1 male of military age-------1 male can vote-----------1 is whole number of females in the household under the age of 45 who is married----- 1 female in the household 16 to 45 unmarried. In the 1825 census for Virgil is a John PRICE ------2 males total------2 females total-------1 male of military age-------1 male who can vote-------1 Female under 45 and married-------1 female under 16 unmarried -------1 whole number marriages that occurred during this census year, this would be a female marrying. I obtained a record of the 1820 census for Virgil compiled by a Mr. Prentiss Glazier of Sarasota, Florida. It is a listing of the residence of Virgil in 1820 with printed notations behinds some of the names. I unfortunately only copied family names, so do not have the Sheet for the "E" but do for the "P". There are the following PRICES listed Daniel PRICE born 1794 married to Orinda born 1801. Jacob PRICE married to Catherine BARRINGER who was born 1775, 10 children John PRICE no further information here. Zach'h PRICE born 1798 the son of Jacob and Cath. Barringer Price. Zach was married to Eliz Ryan born 1801 in NY. d. is Robert and Eliza (Marsh). D. may stand for daughter. Continue to search the file drawers. Have several families in the Cortland Co. Area . Now will pull the other census records for the area. These will be limited because I mainly targeted my family names. Will be back if I find anything further. Hope this helps. Neighbors of Daniel are Stephen Knapp, and Timothy Green.
