Larry, We communicated about a year ago. I have only one wife, Joannah Jones, for Thomas Haywood of Dutchess County. I have the same children but a different order of birth: John, Thomas, Hannah, Lewis, William, Daniel, Lydia, Susannah, Mary, Esther, Jane, Ruth, Charity, and Rachael (not sure why I've spelled it that way). I believe, as you do, that Lewis Haywood (1777-1855) was the son of Thomas Haywood of Dutchess County, but I differ in at least two places with what you propose as this Lewis' offspring. I tend to believe that Stephen Haywood (1805-1838) was the son of a different Lewis Haywood (1750-1831). Milton Haywood was Lewis' nephew; his father was Daniel. I'd be glad to work with you to resolve the Lewises. You don't happen to have a death certificate for Lewis M. Haywood (1834-1919), do you?
