    3. Thank You Susan, Elizabeth is my gggrandmother. I would like to find the record of her marrying Christopher France some where in Columbia county. It is great to learn the names of her siblings. Thanks again, Jim Burns Boca Raton, FL Message text written by INTERNET:NYCOLUMB-L@rootsweb.com >Surnames: Cole, Cohl, Kohl, Wittbeck, Whitbeck Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/VRB.2ACE/948.951.951.1 Message Board Post: Hi Jim, I checked all my books for a marriage record from Harman Cole and Mary/Marie Whitbeck and could not find one. But I did find three of their children. From the book: "Baptism Record Reformed Church West Copake, N.Y. 1783-1899" by Arthur C.M. Kelly, Kinship, Rhinebeck, NY 1969 Page 42, No. 916 8.6.1797 Hermanus Cohl and Maritje Wittbeck bpt Maria b 6.21, sponsors: William Wittbeck and Hanna Cohl Page 50, No. 1095 8.25. 1799 Hermanus Kohl and Maritje Wittbeck bpt John b 12.11.1798, Sponsors: John Wittbeck and Critje Taylor Page 56, No. 1230 11.16.1800 Hermanus Cohl and Maritje Wittbeck bpt Elizabeth b 10.22, Sponsors: Wendel Cohl and Elizabeth Cohl It looks like they were married before the birth of Maria in 1797. There is a record of a Herman Kohl marrying Catharina Minckler on 11.24.1805 in the Germantown Reformed Church. Whether or not this is your Harman needs to be proved. Perhaps a second marriage? Hope this helps, Susan<
