    3. Beth, Here are my notes on the family of Tobias Miller & Marika Knickerbocker. They haven't been entirely field tested, so a few things may be wrong, and I accept corrections. Tobias MILLER was elder at Mt. Ross Church (NYG&B 1910, Van Altyne's Knickerbocker article). Lived in Northeast Precinct. 1790 Census Livingston Tobias Miller 355-00 next to Nicholas Miller, 5 doors up from Abraham Seur (See). However Marika Miller was in Pine Plains 1790, a widow with one slave, and this is in the more expected place, so perhaps Tobias died in the late 1780s. Chn.: 1 Cornelis bp. 29 Oct 1769 Gallatin, sp. Cornelis Knickerbacker & Allen Ben his wife (sponsors were the mother's parents) 2 Elxner 1773 (unconfirmed) 3 Tobias Jr. bp. 6 Feb 1776 Gallatin, sp. Philips Bier & Hester Zea Elizabeth bp. 5 Jun 1779 Gallatin, sp. Lurentz Knickerbacker & Gertrude Schneider (Laurentz was 1st cousin to Marika Knickerbocker, his wife's niece Elizabeth Snyder md. Abraham See's son Adam, and on and on...) 4 Jacob bp. 1779 (unconfirmed) 5 Marika bp. 25 Feb 1781 Gallatin, sp. John & Catherine Schermerhorn (don't know that family) 6 Petrus D.T. b. 29 Mar 1782, bp. Gallatin, sp. Petrus Snyder & Eva Sie 7 James b. 11 Feb. 1784, bp. Gallatin, sp. James (mother's cousin) & Marytje Knickerbacker. (maiden name DENIUS, she was a cousin of Abraham See's wife Anna DUNTZ) 8 Philip b. 26 Oct 1785, bp. Gallatin, sp. Simon Melius & Cornelia Knickerbacker (mother's sister) 9 Cornelia b. 11 Apr. 1787, sp. Philip Knickerbocker (mother's cousin) & Anna Maria Dings (their son Philip Jr. md. Adam See's sister-in-law etc. etc.) Tobias' parents are not known to me, although likely relatives include Nicholas Miller (md Eleanor Parsons) and a Johannes Miller. For that matter, parents of Peter Snyder and Philip Peer are also mysteries. The two See wives (Hester and Eva) were granddaughters of Paulus Tinkelpaugh, the Palatine immigrant, for whatever that is worth. Son Cornelis Miller married Mary See, who I think is a cousin of Hester and Eva, and a sister to the Abraham See also in Livingston. They had at least seven children. Some members of this family were still hanging around Pine Plains in the late 1800s. Tobias Jr. I have married to Catharina Hamm. (Another Hamm in the family is Mary See's grandaughter Hiram Knickerbocker who md. Elizabeth Ham daughter of Harmon & Mary Hamm of Connecticut.) Merika Miller md. Henry Irvine Jr., the son of a Lieutenant in Henry Hoysradt's company of the Tenth Albany Co. Regiment. If anyone has background on the Irvines, I'd be curious to know. (There are also many close connections between the various sponsors listed here & other officers of the company.) Peter Miller md. Catherine Schmidt and had children Tobias 1804, Levina 1811, Henrich Eduard 1813, Herman Stiven 1816, Charlotta Catharine 1818, Nancy Caroline 1821, Helen Frances 1823.
