I hadn't heard that it had been located. I do have a couple of issues with the book. Elisha Hatch (#68) is listed as having three grandsons named Samuel Hatch, the sons of Samuel (291), Elisha (292), and Matthew (295). I believe there is good evidence only for the Samuel who was the son of Matthew. The story of Samuel who was son of Samuel (291) comes from a book entitled "The Annals of Oxford, New York", which connects him with a fanciful and anachronistic tale of pirates. The Samuel who was the son of Elisha (292) is listed with a birth date of 4 May 1761 in Oxford NY. Oxford didn't exist then and there were few, if any, Europeans in the area. However, John Hatch, son of Samuel (291) WAS born on 4 May 1761 and later settled in Oxford. I haven't found any indication of any other Hatch family there. John Hatch was my ancestor.
