Correct. That first rendition is in both the Ohio Historical Society Library in Columbus and the Historical Society Library in Athens where Judge Hatch lived and served as State Senator. The original Journal later returned to Washington and Athens Counties in Ohio where is was published privately by a major paper manufacturer. Copies of that published rendition are also in OG&HS Library in Columbus and in Athens at both the Ohio University library and the OGS library. Presently the original Journal is in Massachusetts in a private collection. Peter Hill researched the Hatch family carefully up through the fifth Doty generation. Judge Hatch's eldest sister Comfort Hatch married Hosea Crippen. The Judge and Comfort were fifth gen Doty family members and sixth gen Francis Eaton family members. I have since found a fresh new Hatch cemeterty in Washington County New York bu! t there seems to be little impact on Hill's five generation conclusions.
