This message comes in response to to the July 7 query by Diane Tomlins about the Mellenville Union Cemetery. Diane, as of six years ago ~ when I last traded messages with her ~ the Chairperson of the Mellenville Cemetery was Mrs. Shirley Mullins, at the address shown below: Mrs. Shirley Mullins, Chmn. Mellenville Union Cemetery Post Office Box #15 Mellenville, NY 12544 Her email address was <[email protected]> but it may no longer be working. You might also get some useful guidance from the Hudson Library (last known phone 518-828-1792) or the Columbia County Historical Society (518-758-9265). If you find the current location of the Cemetery records, would you please contact me directly, too? My great-grandparents Andrew and Phidelia Odell are buried there, as well, (She's interred there for certain, but his gravesite remains a bit of a mystery...) I will be going back there next month and looking for more graves, but it took us 2 hours to find the 1 grave we were looking for last time around. I have NO idea where I might find these others and it's a huge cemetery. Surely there are records somewhere ??? Thanks !
