    3. emailed directly and to list/not to board. Not sure if this is the same family or not but the name is not that common. Hank Jones' "The Palatine Families of New York -- 1710. Has an Anna Catharina Lantin (Land/Landt) as a widow among the Palatine immigrants arriving in New York in 1710. She and four children were on Capt. Jno. Untank's ship in the 5th party of Palatines sailing from Rotterdam to England. The widow appears on the Hunter subsistance lists in 1710. The family originated near Simmern in the Pfalz and was documented at 6540 Horn (7 km. n. of Simmern). Her late husband was Johannes Veletinus Simon Land (Valentin Landt), the son Johannis Landt and Maria Christina Theil, was baptized 7 March 1658. He married first, 9 Nov 1680, Elizabeth Catharina, d/o Debes Post. They had at least four children. He married second (as Velentin Landt), 3 May 1694, Anna Catharina Schneider, d/o Englemann Schneider. This second marriage produced at least 3 children. Johanne Veltin Landt died at Steinbach, 8 August 1704. His widow was probably the Anna Catharina who was among the Palatines. A copy of Jones book should be available in any fair sized public library. A note of caution here. Anna Catharina is listed in the main body of the volume. Details that later became available are listed in the Addenda section. FYI - One of my very very distant early relatives married a Hans Velton Landt almost certainly descended from this immigrant -- Elizabetha Philip, the daughter of Jacob Philip and Barbara Groat, was baptized, August 16, 1741, at the Reformed Church of Linlithgo. Sponsors at the christening were Henrich Miesig and Elizabetha Graet. Elizabetha married Hans Velton Landt. Let me know if I can be of further help.
