    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Beman, Ashley, Winchell Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/VRB.2ACE/1459.1469.1.1.2.2.1.1.1.2.1.1.1 Message Board Post: I grew up in Columbia County and currently live in the Albany area. The only library copy of the Finch/Ashley book I can find is in the Chatham library. I haven't looked at it for a while. Do you know what the source was for the birth records of Abraham and Delilah? By the way I've discovered that Isaac and Lydia never settled in Kent, Conn. The authors of the book never read the Revolutionary War pension application that Isaac made out. After the war they came to the Town of Chatham to live. I find out through a publication of the minutes that they joined the North Chatham Baptist Church. In the application, a Daniel or David Ray stated that Isaac had lived in the Town of Chatham for over forty years and the statement was dated about 1832. I'm just remembering off the top of my head. I would be glad to email you a copy of my transcription. Isaac also appeared on the 1840 veterans census living with an Ashley whose first name began with a J. What information do you have about the Bemans? I am very curious. I haven't been able to find a lot. I didn't discover that I had relatives in Columbia County until I grew up and moved away. Sad. Thank you very much.
