Hi folks, I had 2 replys to my query on Wills probated in Columbia County, New York. As a result I have an email address for a real live person back there. I live in Blue River, Oregon. Needless to say it would be hard for me to have a look at those old records. The second reply was to ask if I had any luck so the following in the luck that I had this morning (21 November 2006). First of all I called the number that was in the first email from Susan. Turns out that number was for the City of Hudson Criminal Court. Rose gave me the number for the City of Hudson Clerk who in turn gave me the number for the county clerk who couldn't help because while they have some wills most of them are recorded in the Surrogate courty. However she told me that I really should contact a title company who could look up the book and page number to speed things up. So she gave me a name and number for a title company. Those numbers are pasted in below. The gentleman I spoke with gave me an email address to write out what I was looking for since besides the will of my ancestor I would need the property that he settled on in New Lebanon, Columbia County, New York.
