    3. Hi All, I'm doing "Family Tree" research on my g-grandma's family, who were from Columbia County. Her mother's name was Sarah (Sally) Ann Simmons, born in 1827. Christened at St. John's Church in Manorton. There were 10 children in this family. Sarah's brothers and sisters were: Levi, William N., Harry, Jonas R., Betsey, Caty(Katy or Catherine), John Alexander, Hannah Margaret, and Lucinda. They were born between the years1813 and 1835. The Simmons name was also "Simmon" and sometimes "Simon." Jonas R. Simmons fought in the Civil War and died in Albany in 1917, at the age of 85 yrs. The Simmons Family lived in Gallatin in southern Columbia County( and also Ancram). The parents of these children were Nicholas C. (Conrad) Simmons and Catherine Gerritzen, also spelled, Garrison. This part of my family was Native American(American Indian). If anyone out there has the last name of "Simmons" or "Gerritzen/Garrison" somewhere in their family tree, or you know of a fr! iend or co-worker,etc. who does, I would really enjoy hearing from you/them. Also, does anyone know of any other records that exist for Columbia County besides church christenings/marriages? Thanks for any help or info. that you can give me !! Kind Regards, Cliff Clayton
