    1. [NYCOLUMB] Columbia County Resources- Advice?
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: franpickett Surnames: PICKETT Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.columbia/4756/mb.ashx Message Board Post: My Pickett ancestors were presumably born in Columbia County (Spencertown). This would have been between 1783 and 1795. I have hit a dead-end on finding sources for them before they moved on to Chautaugua County in 1810. What resources are available in Columbia County for this period? If I get a chance to visit, where should I go for research? Are there any resources available online? I may have 2 days to spend in the area, and need to have a plan! Thanks for any help available! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3. One place is the Columbia County Historical Society in Kinderhook open everyday except Tues and Wed. Check their website. Also, the New York State Library in Albany has a great genealogical library on the 7th floor. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, June 28, 2007 1:29 AM Subject: [NYCOLUMB] Columbia County Resources- Advice? > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Author: franpickett > Surnames: PICKETT > Classification: queries > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.columbia/4756/mb.ashx > > Message Board Post: > > My Pickett ancestors were presumably born in Columbia County (Spencertown).
