This post is about trying to find any information available on the Bassett Family with whom Amos married as his second wife. Our records show that of the 9 children 7 lived to maturity. At this time we first didn't know of the second marriage and still do not know when Hopestill King died or where Amos, Hope, and Mrs. ______ (Bassett) King are buried. King who had married Mary Elizabeth Fuller.  Is this William O. King the same person born to Amos and Hopestill (Haskins) King in 1785 before the family settled in Columbia County, NY.  I found a marriage of Sadie King a daughter was wed to Ira Bassett.  At this time we only have the name of the widow who was in Licking County, Ohio between 1836 and 1843.  She is not of the same name and we had not even asked about possible multiple marriages.
